Secondary Years
The King’s College provides a rewarding and challenging secondary education for students in Years 7 to 12. Within the safe and nurturing Christian environment of the College, your child is encouraged to become an independent and respectful learner with compassion and integrity.
Students benefit from a diverse curriculum and a rich selection of specialist programmes in which to take part.
Year 7-10 Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to assist and encourage your child to think critically and find their passion within a range of core subjects and electives.
Year 10 students receive personalised coaching to explore post-school pathways and select subjects that align with their future goals.
Many students in our Year 10 Catalyst Academic Extension class choose to pursue the ATAR pathway in Years 11 and 12, setting themselves up for university success.
Year 11-12 Curriculum
As a priority, every student is placed in courses that maximise their ability to graduate with the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
There are two main pathways in Years 11 and 12:
ATAR
Students aiming for University entrance. This requires external examination in at least four ATAR subjects.
In 2026, the College will offer a diverse range of 9 ATAR subjects, including English, Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Applications, Modern History, Economics, Politics and Law, Physics, Human Biology, Chemistry, and Biology—providing students with a strong academic foundation.
ACCESS
Students aiming for TAFE, employment or possible alternative entry to University.
For students seeking practical and flexible options, our Access pathway includes many possible subject selections, including General courses, VET and Certificate courses, and ATAR courses.
Extracurricular
At the College, we also focus on developing all aspects of learning: intellectual, spiritual, social, physical and moral capabilities.
Balance in all these areas will benefit your child and enhance their schooling experience. Some of the clubs are typically Breakfast, Chess, Creative, Drama, Textiles, Mock Trials, Academic Clubs, Senior Visual Art and Athlete Development.
