At The King’s College, each child from Years K - 12 has the opportunity to enjoy a range of wonderful opportunities to find their voice; to create the exceptional. These are just a few of the areas where our students can express themselves, collaborate with others and discover their unique musical potential. 

VET Music Qualification 

CUA30920 Music Certificate III

This nationally recognised qualification is delivered at The King’s College over two years in partnership with COSAMP, a registered training organisation.

The CUA30920 Music Certificate III equips students to develop their abilities as performers, creators and collaborators while gaining real-world skills used in the music industry. 

Students work on their chosen instrument or voice and explore a wide range of areas including performance, songwriting, music technology, recording, and live sound production. They also learn how the music industry works, helping them build skills for future study or careers including; musician, songwriter or composer, studio assistant or producer, music media and broadcasting. 

Peripatetic Lessons

Music is a big part of school life and enrolling your child in our Peripatetic Music Program is one of the many opportunities for your child to discover and express their creative and musical spark. Weekly individual lessons are 30 minutes in duration. 

Music tuition offered: Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drum, Vocals with experienced and caring tutors. 

Creative Club

The Creative Club (Years 7-12) is a thriving community of dedicated singers, musicians, tech and production students who want to lead and inspire our school through worship and music performances.

This music team performs at regular chapel services and prepares special items for assemblies and other events inside and outside the school. Club time includes tours, training, ministry sessions, and mini-concerts.  

Years K - 12 Classroom Music

Our enthusiastic and qualified staff run an extensive range of music programs suited to each year level. We use Kodaly method, contemporary pop-hubs, percussion jams, digital technologies as well as lively voice and movement activities.

Primary Choir

Our Primary Choir lights up College life with anthems of hope, and positivity. Students from Years 4 to 6 are invited to join this choral group and develop wonderful repertoire for our school community and beyond.

Kings Worship Academy

The Kings Worship Academy is a worship ministry training program which plays an important role in raising up musicians and singers in the college and churches across Perth.

Our very own Year 11 and 12 VET students complete a government-accredited CUA40920 Certificate IV in Music, with COSAMP, RTO 41549. This is a 2-year course delivered face-to-face, onsite at The King’s College.
