Appointment of Principal for 2026
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Laurelle Coto as Principal of The King’s College commencing Term 1, 2026.
Laurelle brings a wealth of experience with over 30 years of educational leadership and a distinguished record of service across four Christian Schools. Her educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that Christian schools should be places of exceptional, Christ-centred education, where students are inspired, equipped and empowered to flourish academically, spiritually, and personally, thus able to graduate prepared to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. Laurelle currently serves as the Executive Officer for Christian Schools Australia (CSA) with the responsibility of leading engagement with 38 member schools. As part of this role, she is also part of CSA’s national leadership team, shaping strategic initiatives, strengthening school leadership and supporting member schools across the country through sector-wide advocacy and professional development.
Laurelle holds a Master of Education in Special Education, a Postgraduate Certificate in Gifted Education from Monash University and dual bachelor’s degrees in education from Deakin University. She is also a qualified trained leader in Coaching in Leadership and effectively combines her academic depth with strategic insight to drive impactful leadership.
She is widely respected for her visionary and relational leadership, her ability to inspire and empower teams, and her unwavering commitment to excellence in Christian education. We are both excited and confident that Laurelle’s experience, vision and unwavering dedication to Christcentred excellence will guide The King’s College into a new season of growth, innovation, and flourishing and we will continue to shape a vibrant learning community where every student is known, inspired and empowered to thrive.
Laurelle’s appointment coincides with the College’s 40th anniversary and we are looking forward to celebrating this milestone under her capable leadership.
