Student-Led Fundraising | Service in Action

What an extraordinary example of our students putting service and generosity into action!

As part of The King’s College Service Learning Program, students are encouraged to find ways to actively serve their families, local community and global communities, learning that they can make a difference in the world around them.

We have been overwhelmed by the efforts of seven incredible Primary students, Abigail, Dotty, Georgia, Naome, Sophia, Valerie and Zoe, who organised and led a sausage sizzle fundraiser, raising an incredible $1,120 for Perth Children’s Hospital.

Following their fundraising efforts, the students visited Perth Children’s Hospital to present their cheque. During their visit, they were taken on a tour and given the opportunity to see how their donation would help make a difference.

Seeing the impact of their efforts firsthand was a wonderful encouragement for our students and a powerful reminder that even small acts of service, when done together, can make a meaningful difference.

We are incredibly proud of these students for demonstrating our College values of Service and Generosity and showing what it means to look beyond ourselves and make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you to the parents for supporting this incredible effort.
